Sam Zhang leads Analog Devices MEMS sensor and system development teams developing ADI's high performance inertial MEMS products. He was a key designer of the world’s first compact 3-axis accelerometer that enabled motion control concept in Nintendo Wii, a worldwide sensation that started vast motion sensing applications in mobile and wearable devices. He then designed several generations of industry-leading low noise and power accelerometers. He pioneered low-drift and offset design and simulation techniques and contributed to the success of ADI's tactical grade gyroscopes and Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). He was also a key initiator and designer of ADI's first MEMS microphone products. He holds 38 U.S. patents and numerous awards for design innovation and team leadership.
