Through her consultancy, this ex-private banker and SETA accredited trainer has established herself as an international wealth coach whose anchor clients include Standard Bank and Liberty, and whose presentations have been delivered across South Africa through to Nigeria, Kenya and Cyprus. Her business accolades include being named MIPAD Top 100 Most Influential Persons of African Descent Class of 2018, Entrepreneur Magazine Top 50 Black African Women Entrepreneurs to Watch 2018, and Brand SA “Play Your Part” Ambassador in the field of Entrepreneurship. Mhlongo also promotes financial literacy as the resident expert on the weekly Financial Wellness feature on Talk Radio 702. Mhlongo sharpened her finance expertise during her 7-year tenure at Investec Specialist Bank and Asset Manager. She was also the youngest board member of state-owned mineral research technology agency MINTEK and sits on its Audit & Risk Committee. Mhlongo holds an Accounting degree (UCT), Postgraduate Diploma in Management (WBS), an Honours in Financial Planning (UFS), and an MBA from the Wits Business School completed with a dissertation titled Factors contributing to over-indebtedness of black South African females.
