Bio

A technically minded and detailed orientated researcher in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science with a background in Physics. Employs a multi-disciplinary approach with a range of techniques to analyse engineering problems and provide solutions and analysis. Has collaborated across various research groups offering my expertise in Surface Engineering, Nanomechanics and Tribology. Able to learn and adapt quickly as demonstrated by the use multiple pieces of equipment as required by varied work packages in my PhD project. Good time and project management skills are demonstrated by varied research, collaborations, administrative responsibilities in the department and extra-curricular activities. Enjoys challenge and novel problems particularly in the switch from physics to mechanical engineering and learning new fields of study. Comfortable with both working alone and in groups and can take up leadership positions when required.
