Sarah is the Founder and Managing Partner of The Talent Lab, a consulting practice providing mid-sized organizations with research-based strategies to accelerate performance through their people. Our solutions focus on deepening EQ and leadership capability, strengthening team or functional performance, designing and executing people strategies, designing organizations for greater agility, future-proofing organizations through skills-based career development, and transforming HR functions for greater impact.
Sarah is driven by purpose: to make work better for humans. A former Chief with 20 years experience leading HR teams, Sarah had a strong track record of developing winning people strategies and fostering engaged and high performing environments. Her organizations have been recognized as 'BC's Best Employers', 'Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures' and B-Corp's 'Best in the World' for employment. Sarah gained global experience consulting in the areas of HR strategy, organization design, and change management with Accenture Corporation, and now serves as trusted counsel to client organizations that have included Coast Capital Savings, Royal Bank of Canada, Daiya Foods, Seaspan Corporation, Credential Financial, MediaValet, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Technical Safety BC, Stoke Space Technologies, Article, Petcurean, and others. Sarah holds a BBA in Management and Organizational Studies from Simon Fraser University, a Certificate in Organizational Coaching from UBC, and has previously held the CHRP, SPHR and CAPM designations. Sarah has 500+ hours of experience coaching individual and teams and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation and a Licensed Practitioner for Insights Discovery (TM). Sarah has been a featured speaker at events including Young Women in Business (YWIB), Hacking HR Global Conference, Women in Leadership (WIL) Canada, and proudly served on the Waterstone Board of Governors for Waterstone's Most Admired Corporate Cultures, recognizing companies who create great places to work. Sarah is driven by creating ways of working that inspire people, teams and organizations to realize their full potential. Outside of her work, Sarah's passions include yoga, food, travel, hiking, backcountry camping, motorcycles, and her French Bulldog, Lola.
