I strongly believe that innovation and game-changing technological approaches require the right mindset, ambition, and skill set in order to be implemented and to succeed. Throughout my almost 15 years of work experience in both industry and academia I have gained the competences and confidence required to contribute and/or lead the creation, development and dissemination of innovative ideas as part of public/private partnerships, European-funded efforts or internally driven activities. One of the highest professional gratifications I have ever experienced was the journey of implementing a proof-of-concept for a 5G next generation networks approach as part of an EU-funded effort and in collaboration with other partners. Eventually, I brought the PoC to the city of Bristol, UK for a customer facing trial fully integrated with the SDN switching fabric of the city. At the core of my competence and my ambition for any professional environment is the desire to design system architectures in a collaborative fashion, protect the innovations developed and disseminate the work into standardisation fora and through academic publications.
