I am an Assistant Professor of Communication Design at Elon University in N.C. My research currently sits at the intersection of visual communication, branding, typography, and political advertising. I investigate the many ways visual and graphic design elements in political advertising may public opinion and vice versa. I'm also a creative communication professional and student-centered educator with a broad-based background encompassing strategic planning, graphic design, creative development and branding, qualitative & quantitative research, advertising agency experience, media planning & buying, event planning, promotion and visual merchandising, and print production management. I have the ability and skillset to provide innovative and empathetic managerial skills in a collaborative team environment while overseeing budgetary requirements and senior leadership concerns. I have firsthand educational experience connecting with students and families from diverse backgrounds, including low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented high-school students.
