I thrive working in varied environments from startups to mature tech companies, and enjoy the dynamic nature of legal work in fast-paced technology companies. I have worked with virtually every business and G&A unit (sales, marketing, product, finance, engineering, people): at the most successful ridesharing platform company in the world (Uber); at one of the most successful software and hardware companies in the world (Oracle); and now at the most significant chip manufacturer in Silicon Valley history (Intel). Managing legal and compliance risk effectively has enabled these companies to scale, expand globally and succeed in the marketplace. Coupled with my decade of work at the DOJ and significant law firm experience, I am uniquely positioned to help technology companies navigate the many legal and compliance hurdles they face. As the Head of Global and Legal Compliance at Uber, I helped drive the company’s cultural value of 'Do the right thing, always'. I built a world-class legal compliance program for a company focused on ridesharing, non-emergency medical transportation, food delivery, vertical take off and landing, and autonomous vehicle technology. Having helped shepherd Uber through the most tumultuous period (2017) in its short history to IPO in 2019, I am proud of the team we built (growing from 3 people to nearly 50) and the work we did every day.
