My professional mission is to transform the insurance industry, to make it relevant for the 21st century. I strongly believe in risk transfer as a product/service, but it needs evolution to meet the real-life needs of companies and consumers now and going forward. My 16 years of global experience in the insurance industry spans all its core parts - Life & Pension, Property & Casualty, Broking and the Lloyd’s Market. I have worked across the value chain - from distribution and underwriting through to claims, corporate strategy / M&A and investment. I take a particular interest in the application of technology to insurance - having piloted telematics, geospacing and automated claims in the Nordics - and enjoy advising InsurTech startups in my spare time. Starting out my career at McKinsey & Company, I’m a natural-born strategist with a passion for building new businesses or helping those in need to a successful turnaround. Born in Sweden by Estonian parents and raised in the French school system, I am a true European speaking eight languages and a proud ‘citizen of everywhere’. I’m a recognised speaker, writer of thought leadership, mentor and supporter of young professionals in their career development.
