“I am a marketer at heart,” is how I answer when people ask me what I do. That’s because I approach every business issue through the lens of how to market it, how to brand it, and how to communicate it so that people will understand and act, and business results will follow. I'm a Marketing and Communications senior leader with deep expertise in developing marketing, communications, and branding campaigns in complex markets and new technologies, especially in healthcare. I’ve worked on some of the biopharmaceutical industry’s biggest and most innovative brands that have focused on either pioneering new markets like sexual health, or bringing to market disruptive technologies like insulin inhaled directly into the lungs, a flu vaccine sprayed up the nose, or a cancer-fighting drug candidate that harnesses the power of a patient’s own immune system to overcome the cancer. In addition to getting products to consumers and professional (B2B) customers, I help companies to get financed and grow shareholder value. As an Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs officer, I’ve played leadership roles in raising over $730 million of capital through corporate financings, and I have helped sell a company at a market value 5 times larger than it was when I started on its executive leadership team as its IR and Communications leader.
