Thanks for visiting my little corner of LinkedIn! A lot of training looks soooooo old skool. Hands up who loves reading text and clip art images to learn about security?....Not me. My team VIVIDA put employees of Lloyds Banking Group into the Dark Web Mission Center, developed by our 3D artists, music composers, script writers etc. - Who wants to go through unconscious bias training, to understand what level of racist we are?...Nor me. VIVIDA placed senior leaders of EY into the body of a young black man as he tried to get a job at the organisation using VR. You get the idea? This is the VIVIDA way. As people now work from home, we’ve redevelop our approach and tech to facilitate interactive immersive learning online at scale! That’s what we’ve just done for ITV. Our clients are collecting awards for the work we do for them. Sky, Barclays...take a bow :) My aim is to use my talents of storytelling, creativity and innovation to drive change and meaningfully impact and influence the hearts and minds of as many people as possible before my time is done. My mission is to make understanding subjects like Cyber Security, Diversity & Inclusion impactful and enjoyable. I HATE E-LEARNING. I HATE TRAINING.....and yet here I am! I working with my team to change things up ALOT! How the hell did that happen? Growing up I’d ask myself, how does a young black boy from the suburbs have a meaningful impact? Use my storytelling and technical abilities to transform to change behaviors. Then form a team of likewise exceptional individuals and then work with like minded organisations. Oh and openly share insights and learnings with as many people as possible along the way. Turns out a great way to help as many people as possible is to transform learning for thousands of people in organisations across the world. And here I am, Simeon Quarrie. Step by step living my dream. I’ve built and continue to build a supportive and exceptionally talented team (VIVIDA) that help me bring my vision to life using interactive storytelling. I continue to share and give back, having spoken and keynoted in over 20 countries. Including for Apple in San Francisco Cupertino. There are a number of topics that I really care about. Encouraging creativity. Diversity & inclusion. Personal and organisational resilience. Mental health. I LOVE also investing in young people. So it’s always great when the day job overlaps with these important issues.
