Simon works for a more sustainable world across the disciplinary boundaries of technology, business and policy. At Siemens Energy, I work on a key solution technology that enables the integration of renewables. At the German Federal Foreign Office and the World Bank, he helped to strengthen sustainable development and good governance in Sub-Saharan Africa. Simon holds a PhD from ETH Zurich and a diploma in energy and environmental management from the Universities of Flensburg and Southern Denmark. He is author of several award-winning publications, lecturer and public speaker on smart grid, corporate sustainability and energy policy. He contributed to two core communities of the World Economic Forum and is a fellow of the Toenissteiner Kreis and Club of Rome's Think Tank 30.
