I am the Senior Vice President, Commercial, International at Alexion, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing life-changing therapies for people living with rare diseases. Since 2022 I’ve also served as a Member of the Board of Directors for EuropaBio, Europe's largest and most influential biotech industry group. Throughout my 20-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, I’ve gained extensive experience in commercial and medical leadership, specializing in the fields of gene therapy and rare diseases. In 2019 I was named one of the UK’s top 25 female leaders and a “gene therapy pioneer”. I’m driven by the huge amount of unmet need within rare disease therapeutics and, just like my colleagues at Alexion, I’m proud to serve the rare disease community around the world. Before joining Alexion in 2021, I served as the CEO of two early-stage biotechs, Cellinta, developing gene therapies in rare oncology tumors, and Gyroscope Therapeutics, a company developing complement targeting therapies for ocular diseases such as geographic atrophy. Prior to this, I was Chief Medical Officer at Lysogene, a Boston-Paris biotech company developing gene therapy for rare CNS disorders, where I contributed to the successful listing of the company on the European Stock Exchange. My extensive experience encompasses orphan drug development while at Orphan Europe, and broad industry expertise while at Sanofi where I held increasing leadership positions over a 10-year period. I obtained my medical degree from the University of Paris VII, specializing in clinical research, pharmacology, and biostatistics.
