First and foremost, I'm a family man. However professionally, I've been fortunate enough to pursue my dreams as an entrepreneur full-time for the past several years. I started on the traditional track of college: graduating with a finance degree and later an MBA. I managed to survive in the corporate world primarily as a Business Banker, but never thrived until I managed to become my own boss. In 2005 I discovered what would eventually become my way out of the corporate world: building websites and gaining traffic through search engines. I taught myself basic web development and in depth search engine optimization for a few years before I had any type of success. Eventually, my ''niche''​ websites were earning me more money than my full time job as a banker in 2011. I saved up a safety net of funds (like any good family man should), and quit my job on March 11th, 2011. Because I was performing in-depth keyword research for all of my own websites, I discovered that many existing keyword research tools were lacking in certain areas. Based on my hunch that I understood how webmasters were truly doing keyword research (or should be), I created Long Tail Pro. Long Tail Pro is a bootstrapped business funded by my successful websites. This software business has thrived since then and now has many thousands of users. Along the way I began blogging and podcasting at NichePursuits.com where I share my experiences in building large and small websites, keyword research strategies, and overall what's working for me as an online entrepreneur. I'm now also involved in other entrepreneurial ventures, and I very much look forward to continuing my business efforts not only to support my own family, but as a means of supporting other employees and their families as well.
