Recognized as someone who is helping drive new technologies to transform the telco industry for the better, I am passionate about the positive impacts of innovation and change – doing things better, bringing in new ideas, demonstrating how we can be faster and better in this industry. As a visionary Telco industry leader, I have spent most of my executive career working closely with the C-suite, global technology leaders and open-source communities in an advisory capacity. I was instrumental in driving trends such as MEC, Cloud WAN, Multi-cloud and Private network technologies. At Verizon, I am responsible for developing next-generation network technologies, products and strategies, identifying strategic partners to enable Verizon's technology strategy, and driving new technology transformation efforts across Verizon. I also lead the development of Network cloud and Edge platforms, and drive virtualization and automation across the networks. I bring to bear a variety of key skills, including telecom network and cloud technologies, enterprise architecture, technology transformation, platform development, technology strategy and innovation for large corporations. I am also dedicated to nurturing the talent in an organization to drive outcomes, and I am proud to have led teams that created more than 100 patents each year for the last three years. An integral part of the CTO organization and considered a trusted advisor across Verizon for technologies, I have led the development of the Network and IT technology transformation strategy for this $130B annual revenue firm. I have also led the development of successful partnerships with key web scale companies to drive 5G use cases and business models. Previously, I led technology transformation efforts in the areas of work force mobility, CRM, Omni Channel, Wireline network transformation and platform rationalization. I also led the delivery of long distance, voice unbundling and development of broadband strategies at Verizon. Prior to joining Verizon, I worked at British Telecom, IBM and MCI in various technology roles with responsibility for workforce and network management transformations. A passionate thought leader, I have a bachelor’s degree from BITS, Pilani,India and I also hold an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. I am also a member of the board for the Linux Foundation for Networking, I am on the board of trustees for the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) and I actively serve as an advisor to Telco start-ups, VCs and Open source forums.
