I create time-travelling Haute Kitsch art & fashion under the name FRIDA LAS VEGAS specialising in visual artworks, clothing, prints, accessories and graphics that celebrate self-expression, colour, glamour and humour! A multi-passionate creative ‘slashie’, I've built my visual practice from working across the Australian film, fashion, design, animation and media production industries over the past 12+ years. Recent career highlights include designing a pyjama collaboration with Peter Alexander and Vegemite, creating textiles for Katy Perry to wear on ‘American Idol’ and delivering a 20 minute presentation on illustration and digital painting for the Adobe Max 2021 creativity conference. I get a kick out of making 'something' from 'nothing' and solving problems with a mix of tools learned from my experiences working as a visual artist, graphic designer, content creator and media producer. A big-time pop culture vulture, I'm obsessed with vintage fashion, new wave music, art deco architecture and every single movie directed by Pedro Almodovar.
