Hi. I run a company called Creative Executive Officers. We're an advisory firm & content studio working at the intersection of the creator economy and web3. We do two things: (1) help businesses improve the bottom line by getting more creator-friendly; and (2) help creators take control of their career by getting more business-savvy. With this unique approach — top-down and bottoms-up — we are working to remove the tactical and structural roadblocks that prevent great creative work from getting made, seen, and monetized. In the last year, we've worked with Fortune 50 firms, startups, brands, and DAOs to help them unlock a lot of value. How? Through advising & shaping go-to-market strategies, product strategies, and reimagining business models. Through helping run reviews of their creator strategies, running RFP processes, and sourcing & negotiating partnerships (with vendors, creators, distributors, and more). We've also produced a bunch of content – mostly audio to date – and on the back of that, built a pretty sizable email list, and a community with over 250k people. The members of that community are creators, advisors (e.g. agents, managers), executives from incumbent firms, and entrepreneurs building new tools & services for the creator economy and web3. All of this is in service of making sure that when massively talented people want to build and sustain a creative career, the road is as clear as possible. Previously, I spent a decade at VICE where I got to work on a ton of awesome projects with insanely talented people. Projects include: Motherboard, Noisey, VICE News, the YouTube channels, the Growth team, and the Business Strategy & Development function. Before that: I booked shows for 10k+ at Syracuse; ran call sheets, fetched mail, and scooped ice cream at CAA (pre Death Star); coordinated correspondence at the MPAA; did record counts for W/E/A; organized overnights for Viacom; and sold ads for my high school paper.
