I'm a CTO, investor, entrepreneur, and academic (in no particular order!) I'm also a venture partner and advisor to Frontline Ventures, in London, helping them on investing in seed stage deep-tech software companies with a particular interest in AI and Machine Learning. I've also been a founder multiple times. In 2010, I co-founded Swrve a real-time marketing automation cloud for mobile apps. Previously, I created the team that developed Kore VM, a script execution engine for game consoles which was acquired by Havok. In 1998 I co-founded Havok, the leading real-time physics and animation solution provider to the game industry, acquired by Intel in 2007. I founded the Trinity College ISG Lab (now the GV2 Group), dedicated to research into computer graphics, vision and animation and also created the MSc. program for Entertainment Technology at Trinity College. I frequently work with startups as a mentor and director, and as a visiting professor at Goldsmiths and enjoy working with early stage companies, their founders and with students on ideas formation and strategies for bringing these ideas to market. I'm also the proud father of two fabulous daughters. Specialties: software technology & platforms (with a focus on game, AI, VR and AR technology), product and market strategy development, technical team leadership, product evangelism, research, teaching and mentoring, early stage business planning.
