Originally qualified as a Civil Engineer, I returned to third level education in 2009 to expand my education into Fire Safety Engineering after the global downturn of 2008. Since graduating in 2011 I have worked various roles in the field of Fire Safety in Ireland, the UK, Africa, India and the Middle East. My varied roles in the Fire Safety field across many countries in addition to my previous Civil Engineering experience has equipped me with a rounded knowledge and understanding of the requirements, goals and application of Fire Safety in the construction and facilities management industries.
