I have nearly two decades of experience in marketing and hospitality management, teaching, consulting and research within a range of organizations -- entrepreneurial and established businesses, consulting firms, government and academia. My work background includes consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers Global Hospitality and Leisure Practice as well as management and marketing experience in tour operations and internet marketing. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital marketing, customer experience management, hospitality management and marketing, and tourism planning and development. My course content stays current by participating in industry-led opportunities such as the Young & Rubicam Group and Marriott International Faculty Fellowships. I am a Certified Hospitality Digital Marketer and Certified HootSuite Professional, and my students compete annually in the Google Online Marketing Challenge. I am proud to have been nominated for the O'Hara Leadership Award for Direct and Interactive Marketing Education and as Professor the Year by GW Athletics. I also conduct academic research focused on digital marketing, branding, relationship marketing, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. My record of scholarship includes 11 peer-reviewed publications in business journals including the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly and the Journal of Business Ethics. My volunteer work involves serving as treasurer of the local alumni chapter of the Cornell Hotel School, board member of the local HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) chapter, and co-founder and organizer of JAM (Jews and Muslims) DC.
