I am a technology lawyer and advise technology companies on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital investments, and provides general corporate counseling. My clients include technology companies of all stages and their investors at all points in the company life cycle. Supported by a global and cross-practice team, I also counsel major corporations on their European expansion projects. I am passionate about building a bridge for our clients from Germany to Silicon Valley and other global technology hubs, to help them succeed in the international market. With a dual background in business and law, an entrepreneurial spirit, and experience in way over 100 M&A transactions and financing rounds across many industries I have a unique perspective to the table. I volunteer with various entrepreneur groups (such as Prepare! The Entrepreneurs Academy or the WHU Entrepreneurship Roundtable). With great pleasure I frequently give guest lectures on venture capital financings at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management where I have the honor to also serve on the advisory board of the first of its kind master in entrepreneurship. In the 2017 edition of its Innovative Lawyers Report Europe, the Financial Times named the work of my Orrick colleagues and mine to connect start-ups with Germany’s Mittelstand (mid-sized companies) a standout “for making bridges between Silicon Valley and Germany”.
