Bio

Hi, I'm Temur. I’m a technology reporter for The Globe and Mail, Canada’s newspaper of record. Prior to this, I was a national business reporter at BNN Bloomberg, where I covered enterprise stories and wrote business features for broadcast and digital audiences. A juror for the Dalton Camp Award, which grants young writers with a $10,000 prize for the best essay on the link between media and democracy, I frequently appear on live-audience, TV and radio panels to provide analysis about the Canadian economy and global technology trends. A former staff reporter at the Toronto Star, Winnipeg Free Press, Telegraph-Journal (New Brunswick) and iPolitics (Ottawa), my work's been featured in Bloomberg News, CBC News, Maclean's Magazine, Financial Post, The Hamilton Spectator, CTV News and several other award-winning news media outlets. Before covering technology and business, I reported on multiple other beats — breaking news on crime, politics at all levels, local transit, and even sports (I covered the historical Raptors NBA run in the summer of 2019). I love a good meme and take my caffeinated beverages very seriously.
