As a Fellow, chief architect, distinguished engineer and board advisor, I drive the creation, architecture, strategy and external visibility for products and solutions. I have expertise and have helped develop solutions in a number of security related areas including, vulnerability management, identity management, GRC, Antivirus, intrusion detection, encryption, security event management, cloud security, forensics, insider threat, IOT, analytic and managed security services. I have been an advisor to the CSO, acquisition teams, global strategy, marketing and many product lines. I have 15 issued patents and have developed and enhanced the patent programs. Internally I drive product teams to develop the best products possible; I drive architecture, strategy and get hands on with all my projects. Externally I’m a proven thought leader with speaking engagements ranging from testifying to congress, meetings at the white house, keynoting large and small security events and meeting directly with hundreds of customers. The external exposure gives me a great deal of context and knowledge about the needs of education, healthcare, government and finance. System integrators and partners are the key to success for many solutions and I have been the global CTO for the Dell/Deloitte Joint Venture as well as working with many other large and small integrators and partners. I have been on the board for the Open Identity Exchange, Trans Global Secure Collaboration Program and have assisted startups as a technical advisor/board member. I bring a strong mix of internal and external skills. In all cases I look to leapfrog the competition by using technology as a differentiator with stronger solutions, faster time to market, better partnerships and more influence within the market.
