I have always loved telling compelling stories in information security, and I'm thrilled to be doing so with the wonderful team at DomainTools. As the ''evangelist'' title suggests, my remit is to tell the security world about the many ways in which defenders are gaining the upper hand on various kinds of threats by leveraging predictive intelligence drawn from DNS and domain infrastructure data. On the side, I continue to work with Global Voice, an early stage startup driven by the recognition that, while students who didn't speak English as their first language are the fastest-growing segment of our school populations, they are not adequately supported in most learning environments. We strive to change that, through technology that provides engagement prompts, cultural awareness resources, and a wrap-around support structure for the full learning community. • Domain expertise: Product and program management of hardware, software, cloud, and SaaS solutions. Ownership of B2C and B2B products sold through various channels: direct, broadline distribution, VAR/VAD, and MSP • Leadership as well as hands-on work in all areas of the product lifecycle, from concept through end-of-life and product succession • Product Evangelism: Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills, tailored as needed for large or small audiences • Analyst and press briefings, including long-lead product briefings, product review preparation, product and technology trade journal interviews, radio and television appearances • Agile/Scrum as well as waterfall project management paradigms for release management, resource allocation, estimation, dev/QA balancing, release endgame excellence, post-mortem analysis, and more • Management of Product Management as well as Technical Support teams; mentoring, process improvements, and team-building • Lean Startup strategy and business modeling • Deep technical and practical understanding of networking, DNS, malware/attack techniques, attack attribution/threat intel, cloud storage, and SaaS platforms, as well as network security from the physical through the application layer • Research, creation, and presentation of product and feature requirements including user personas, use cases, test cases, and background documentation • Analysis of market dynamics including competitive strategy and positioning, industry lifecycle and adoption patterns, international and multi-domestic marketing
