Technical leader with extremely broad experience, who defines one's self based on the ability to consider many perspectives while solving problems that range over multiple disciplines. Technical and business knowledge derived from a Government and commercial consulting background to business executive, board director, and in-house subject matter expert for a broad range of solutions. Woven through all past positions is a line of security experience from Military COMSEC/OPSEC to the beginnings of Information Security ''INFOSEC'' for DOD, then through commercial security practices to the role of CISO for a public financial services company and now aviation industry. Experience and range of business responsibilities has produced unique perspective on the information security professional's role and how to find common ground between the competing goals within an organization. Created ''Rings of Defense'' methodology for security controls design in 90's which allowed assurance calculations based on specific modeled threats for the purpose of measuring results. This professional has stated for over ten years and continues to live by the belief that ''Security is not a science but art''.
