Trey Ray is a Manager in the Information Security division at FedEx Services. He leads a talented group of Cyber Security professionals that oversee Network Security for the FedEx Enterprise. He has 30 years of information technology experience across depot level electronics repair, desktop and server support, network administration, and information security. Trey started his FedEx career in 1988 as a package handler in the FedEx World Hub while attending the University of Memphis. Just prior to earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in 1992, Trey joined what is now known as the FedEx Repair Service Center as a depot repair technician servicing Apple equipment. In 1996 Trey accepted a position with the Technology Services Air Ops support team where he was a key contributor to the Air Ops Complex (AOC) campus relocation and the AOD 2000 desktop management project. Trey joined Information Security in 2005 as an original member of the Identity Management (IDM) team and was responsible for the implementation, configuration management, and support of the Oracle Waveset IDM, Entrust IdentityGuard, Lenel Picture Perfect, and SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions. Trey was promoted to Manager in 2012 and has led the IDM, Privileged Access Management, and Access Engineering & Solutions teams in InfoSec. Trey has led a Zero Trust Security effort aimed at better securing FedEx workforce identity. This includes rolling out the Okta Identity Cloud and F5 BIG-IP Access Policy Manager solutions. In August of 2021, Trey transitioned to the Manager of Network Security role in FedEx Services. Trey is a seven-time winner of the FedEx IT Hall of Fame award and has also received the prestigious FedEx Five Star award.
