Bio

I'm an advocate for DEI and Women of Color in Tech. I bridge the gap for underrepresented and underserved minorities with government and commercial business to create an inclusive and equal workplace by advising and consulting on DEI and recruiting. As a retired US Naval Officer and a technologist who spent over two decades in the tech industry, I was often ''THE ONLY'', treated differently or blatantly overlooked for opportunities. The world focuses on diversity and inclusion, yet the government and businesses struggle to recruit, retain and promote underserved minorities. It takes more than just checking a box or hiring to meet a quota! Although tech has made significant advances, women of color in tech are still underrepresented in the profession. As a speaker, I'm powerful, relatable, and engaging. My talks leave audiences knowing they are not alone, feeling empowered and ready to take action. I'm one of Google's Women TechMaker Ambassadors. I love impacting, inspiring, and empowering others! In the 1990's I started my tech career. Surprisingly, when it comes to women of color in tech, the industry has made strides, but more is needed. WOC in tech need more support, are not valued, and are not given the same opportunities to grow and thrive as our counterparts. I've been there. I know exactly how you feel. I want to be your coach and help you to elevate your career. ❓Are you a government agency or company that wants a truly equal and inclusive tech workforce? ❓Are you looking for a powerful and dynamic speaker for your event? ❓Are you a Woman of Color in tech who feels stuck because you don't see people who look like you, lack support from someone who truly understands your journey, and want to overcome obstacles you face in the tech industry?
