Bio

I've spent over a decade designing and building clouds and service mgmt systems for large enterprises, mainly in the role of lead architect. Part of this time was spent in IBM professional services, on the road in front of clients, part working on IBM's own cloud offerings in various development organizations. Recently, I've been working on a pervasive problem in cloud-native application design, which has led to several innovations. You can read about them here: trmidboe.medium.com. My interests and experience include: WebAssembly; containerless compute; federated, self-deploying applications; zero-install, zero downtime deployment; module federation; cloud-native application design/dev; cloud provider architecture / provisioning software; serverless computing; network virtualization; blockchain; machine learning; Solid Pods...in general, tech that promotes decentralized, safe-by-default, OSS-based computing. I value creativity, careful-thinking and craftsmanship. Working with similarly-motivated colleagues is a requirement.
