I moved from a small provincial town in the south of Italy when I was still young, studied in Naples, and then started travelling all over Italy. My profession has allowed me to visit the great Italian and European cities, as well as the small towns and villages in our country, and to grow up in a family atmosphere that embraces the whole country. The realities with which I have interacted in the course of my career are the most diverse, particularly in the railway sector, from the compartments of Bologna and Milan to the central offices in Rome. I was also involved in the 2,200 stations of the national network and actively participated in the construction, activation and management of the Milan-Bologna-Florence high-speed line. During these experiences I came across many different professionals, who transformed my work into a unique experience made of sacrifices and professional growth, and who let me understand that a company is only able to achieve particularly challenging objectives if it employs passionate, competent and capable people and if, at the same time, they are constantly stimulated and involved. I have made this experience my own, and as I have taken on gradually increasing responsibilities within the FS Italiane Group, I have been able to tackle and resolve critical situations from an organisational, technical and managerial point of view, achieving important business results. As CEO of FS Sistemi Urbani, Real Estate Asset Manager of the FS Italiane Group, I am constantly committed to making Italian cities more liveable and sustainable, enhancing and redeveloping areas that are no longer functional for railway operations.
