I am a digital economy lawyer advising some of the world’s most innovative companies. My passion is to bring excellence to bleeding-edge projects and help clients launch global platforms with strong technical and legal infrastructure. To achieve this, I lead a large cross-border team advising developers, global banks, governments, multilaterals, social media companies, crypto and payment institutions on new products, cross-border transactions, compliance and licensing. My key strength is building strong global digital ecosystems. A key aspect of this is successfully integrating payments, virtual assets, social media, exchange, gamification and sustainability/ESG elements. I help clients navigate shifting sands - including rapidly developing, overlapping, conflicting and changing legal and regulatory requirements. I am a member of multiple advisory bodies and have been appointed to the Panel of Recognised International Market Experts (P.R.I.M.E.). I am admitted to practice law in Hong Kong, Australia and England & Wales. Across the spectrum, I advise on privacy regulation, financial crime, financial regulation, digital transformation and algorithmic design. I am passionate about combatting forced migration-related issues including human trafficking and predatory lending. I am a board member of Justice Centre Hong Kong, one of the leading NGOs in Asia focussed on refugees and other forced migrants. On the policy side, I have been privileged to work with industry and regulators on critical regulatory reforms, including the World Economic Forum DeFi Working Group, as well as being a contributing author of ASIFMA's ''Best Practices for Digital Asset Exchanges'', ''Tokenised Securities Roadmap'' and ''AI Whitepaper''. Most recently, I have been helping large institutions on Metaverse structuring, digital land acquisitions and contracting with DAOs.
