My goal is to make heterogeneous and distributed computing accessible and usable by scientists, researchers and engineers. During my studies and work in applied research, I always struggled with the fact that my tools were not capable enough or performant enough, getting the performance I needed required large amounts of engineering work and made it hard to quickly iterate and innovate. I want to enable effective cooperation between scientists and performance engineers and for that I strongly believe that we need to work together in one programming language, that is both highly productive and performant, and I think Julia is the perfect fit.
