Previously at the RCGP as the Chief Operating Officer (formerly titled Chief Executive Officer), reporting to the Chair of Trustees. Responsible for 300 staff, a budget of £48M and delivering excellence in general practice from 32 faculties throughout the UK and from teams worldwide. The RCGP is a professional membership body and supports more than 54,000 members in the UK and countries overseas. A Chief Executive Officer who has held senior leadership roles in large, complex multi-disciplined organisations with responsibility for multi-million pound budgets and managed up to 700 staff in the UK and internationally. • Extensive experience of working collaboratively with European and international organisations and committees – an experienced Chair and Non-Executive Director • Focussed on team development and coaching with a consistent record of facilitating and delivering cost control, operational efficiencies, restructuring, downsizing and improved service delivery. • Proven expertise in successfully creating the start-up of organisations and 'turning around' failing departments and organisations.
