With over 14 years of experience in tech and cyber space, constantly growing interest and passion in the field, learnings from failures and successes along the way, help me deliver effective results both for organisations & myself. Learning how the business works, keeping myself aware of important local and international regulations, compliance requirements and happenings in cybersecurity world helps me stay very adaptable to this ever changing and dynamic field. I have had some great opportunities to be in roles with large SI's as well as in-house, be a very hands-on engineer as well as a thought leader that help me deliver bespoke end-to-end quality info/cybersecurity & infrastructure solutions/processes & effectively manage diverse teams for large and complex environments. I help organisations define their information security strategy by being a business enabler & a risk manager, by keeping ''people'' as the focal point in ''People, Process & Technology'' framework. All this and my strong communication skills coupled with experience in various industries (Telecom, Logistics, Luxury Retail etc.), geographies (India, Australia, UK & Hong Kong) & cultures help me manage stakeholder expectations all the way to the Board. Key directive principles which I learnt over the years and apply as a cybersecurity professional & leader on a day-to-day basis: *Within “People, Process & Technology” methodology in cyber world, “People” have my most attention. Behind every successful attack there are humans at both ends and understanding both sides is crucial. This helps me and my team tailor cyber programs best suited to the organizational needs. *As a cyber security leader, I assume the role of a risk manager with my main responsibility being ensuring stakeholders have constantly been made aware of risks their businesses face in the ever-evolving threat landscape. *Right balance between security & user experience is crucial in today’s highly digital and “in your palm” world. People always find an alternate path if security significantly compromises the latter. *Compassionate Management – empathize with action! There is an urgent need to move a step further from being empathetic both as leaders and organization. I enjoy having a drink or 2 with friends, meeting new people, hearing their perspectives, talking about modern technologies & of course about cybersecurity and travelling.
