Varun Mittal is a seasoned professional adept at the cross-section of digital business building and financial services in South East Asia and global emerging markets. He has developed and implemented strategy, technology rollout, ecosystem management, and regulatory engagement for financial institutions and digital and internet technology companies. Varun undertook his MBA at the National University of Singapore and graduated with computer science engineering as his undergraduate major. Currently, he is leading innovation and ecosystem at Singlife, having previously served as Chief Digital and Growth Officer at Singlife. In addition, he is the founder of the Fintech Nation project, comprising a book, podcast and investment fund to support the fintech ecosystem in Singapore. Varun is also the founder Singapore Fintech Association and ASEAN Fintech Network. In addition, he has been awarded as one of the top ten people in Singapore Fintech by the Monetary Authority of Singapore in 2019 and 2021. Varun is the founder of Boleh Ventures as his family office for private markets and early-stage investments. As an avid investor in startups in South East Asia, he has invested in over 50 startups with five exits and multiple successful scaled ventures in his portfolio.
