My research is in Artificial Intelligence, focusing on how machines can solve problems unanticipated or not defined by their human designers. I am actively exploring topics at the intersection of symbolic reasoning/planning, reinforcement learning, and language understanding. I'm also a published cartoonist and always looking for ways to use line-art to entertain and teach.
