Working with industry, government and universities, I ensure that industy can access and leverage the North Texas research and innovation resources necessary for contiuned growth and market leadership. I transition customers into partners and opportunities into viable programs. I am a highly proficient Senior Executive who enables organizational growth and achievement by creating the right structure and systems and building and leading technical organizations and programs in heavily regulated industries (DOD, FDA, EPA). My military service was followed by a stint purchasing production chemicals for five nationally significant chemical plants during a major chemical shortage. I ensured we never missed a production goal! With the completion of my Ph.D., I moved from various technical roles into organizational leadership roles, serving as Director of Operations and on to Associate VP across industries including environmental engineering, pharmaceuticals, research and development, and defense. Leading robust interfaces between government regulators on one-side and industry partners on the other, I get to know customers and understand their personal approach as well as their technical and business challenges. • I have formed relationships with civilian and uniformed senior executives and program managers, successfully negotiating partnerships including on major technically complex ship-building programs. • Working closely with senior leadershipI developed and executed a program that allowed this 60,000 employee Navy sponsor to fill 25 senior technical work force gaps that met their needs and allowed our programs to continue uninterrupted. • As a mentor and educator I have establish more than 25 university-public/private school licensing agreements that brought the benefits of advanced cognitive psychology-based learning theory to STEM education and also raised $1.6M in foundation grants for additional educational software development.
