Vincent Baslé is a Corporate Adviser, Strategy and Development, in EDF, Paris, supervising activities in Continental Europe, mainly Poland and the Netherlands. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of SLOE Holding B.V. (EDF subsidiary co-owned 50-50 with Delta), owner and operator of a combined cycle gas power station, in the Netherlands, of 2x435 MWe; Energy generated 2014: 3.7 TWhe ; EBITDA: EUR 59.4mil; He is also contributing to performance reviews of companies, supervision or risk mandates and of annual performance contracts, adviser for safety improvement on industrial sites. Previously, he was a LNG Project Director in EDF PEI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EDF dedicated to midscale power generation in the French overseas territories and abroad. In particular in the Caribbean and in Corsica, he has launched two ground-breaking projects by proceeding to FEED for converting diesel power stations to natural gas via LNG Floating Storage and Regasification Terminals. Vincent Baslé has been working in the energy industry for more than fifteen years, and his experience covers various fields including full operation of electric systems, international project management, team management, with extensive market, regulatory, and institutional exposure. This professional experience has been gained throughout various and multicultural environments, overseas as well as in France. He was also exposed to a broad range of European energy and commodities markets, in his role in EDF Trading limited, a multi-commodity trading company. There he had responsibilities in Transmission and Regulatory Affairs. He supported origination and trading desks in current operations as well as in business development. Prior to that, he was Head of Energy Department in EDF in Guadeloupe (French Caribbean), where he enjoyed a high level of autonomy. He dealt, on the scale of this isolated system, with a variety of challenging energy issues.
