As women, and in particular as African women, we’ve come a long way. A really long way. Which is why it’s so frustrating when we reach a point in our careers where we feel we can’t go any further. And we have no idea why. We expect our hard work to be enough. We think the results we get should speak for themselves. But it’s not, and they don’t. So we end up hating our jobs. We blame our employers, the system and anything else we can think of. This is not good news for us, or the company we work for. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗗𝗢: After years working in corporate environments, I know exactly how to help professionals and their employers understand the rules of engagement and how to apply them so both sides benefit.
