Waris Sagheer, Cisco Chief Technology Officer (CTO), leads product and solution development & deployment within the Cisco Systems Service provider's business unit. Waris has more than twenty years of experience in service provider space and technologies. Before his current role, Waris worked for a diverse range of organizations in Cisco, including leadership roles in product management organization, technical marketing architect in service provider access group, solutions architect in Cisco customer experience (CX) organization, and senior software engineer in Cisco core routing engineering team. Waris's varied background in product management, services, and engineering provided the foundation for driving technologies and innovation across the Cisco service provider portfolio and solutions. Waris is a frequent speaker in various networking forums and is the author/co-author of multiple articles and case studies. Waris holds a bachelor of engineering in Computer Systems.
