Wayne Nielsen has over 35 years of Telecoms experience and developed and managed international projects in the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA. He possesses a postgraduate Masters degree in International Relations, and Bachelor's Degrees in Economics and Political Science. Throughout the 1980s and 90s he worked for British Telecom, Cable & Wireless and SAIC. In 2001, he founded WFN Strategies, which provides project development and engineering of remote communications for Telecoms, defense and oil & gas clients. Recent projects have included inter-platform systems in Austral Asia, Gulf of Mexico, South America, North Sea and West Africa; Arctic and Antarctic systems; and numerous transoceanic submarine cable systems. He is also founder and publisher of Submarine Telecoms Forum magazine (www.subtelforum.com), the industry’s considerable voice on the topic.
