Entrepreneurial brand-communications-community leader and learner. 20+ years of results helping entrepreneurs launch and execute bold and purposeful ideas. Worked directly with and served as a trusted advisor to Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson and executives to build Virgin Group’s North American portfolio of branded companies and investments in diverse sectors. Partner at M13, an early stage (seed to Series A) consumer tech investing firm now deploying out of our $400M third fund. Portfolio companies build enabling tech that powers the future of work, health, commerce, and money. Examples: Lightning Labs, Nori, Rho, Milo Credit, Shef, Banyan, Lifeforce, Form Health, Canvas Medical. Prior experience: Led Virgin’s US communications strategy, thought leadership, crisis and reputation management, brand partnerships, social media campaigns, new company launches. Served as Virgin Galactic's first head of brand comms, helping to build a new industry to open access to space through Virgin’s three commercial space companies. Served as Kitty Hawk's head of brand and communications and launched Flyer, the first personal flying car. Founding teams of Teach For America and KIPP Foundation. Active on boards of KIPP NJ and Virgin Unite USA.
