I lead the Unit 42 team at Palo Alto Networks, with responsibility for threat intelligence, incident response & proactive services, and managed threat hunting. I'm also a member of the DHS Cyber Safety Review Board. Previously, I led the X-Force Incident Response & Threat Intelligence Teams, & the X-Force Command (Cyber Range) at IBM Security. I led the CrowdStrike Services team from 2012 to 2016, and prior to that was a Managing Director at Mandiant after serving as a Special Agent and Computer Crime Investigator within the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. I frequently speak to our client's executive leadership teams & boards about how to strengthen their security programs and address their most pressing threats, as well as at a variety of high-profile technical conferences. I've been a featured speaker at BlackHat, RSA, SANS, the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, and the WSJ Academy. I have been a keynote speaker at Cyber Tech, DAFITC, the Forrester Privacy Conference, GSX, and the Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS) conference. I have instructed graduate level computer science and cyber security courses at Carnegie Mellon and George Washington University, and have been profiled in Fast Company, Dark Reading, and SC Magazine.
