Working at the intersection of product innovation and commercialisation, I have a passion for bringing new ideas and applications for technology to life. As Chief Commercial Officer at LiNa Energy, my role is to deliver on the market opportunity for low-cost solid state sodium batteries, with a focus on the solar storage arena. I feel privileged to not only be working in a genuinely cutting-edge industry, but also enjoy the opportunity to work alongside the brightest brains on the planet to help the energy sector transition to net zero. We’re at an exciting time at LiNa: a proven chemistry; a product which has been independently tested and validated; and the talent and know-how to defeat the various challenges along the way. My role is to inject the commercial rigour into the technology development strategy and ensure we are the best player to back in this emerging market. My background is over 14 years in the energy industry, most recently in senior commercial roles at ExxonMobil. This has given me exposure to the needs and challenges of the energy market as well as the importance of building partnerships to make the big things happen. I’ve always enjoyed travelling and lived in 4 countries to date, thanks in part to my family working in the oil and gas industry. This has given me a sense of exploration, not just for new places and meeting new people, but different technologies, engineering and innovation.
