I have been working in the area of technical process control since I left the University of Twente. After spending several years on systems implementation in the manufacturing industry (Philips, HCS) I started working in the utility industry. I was responsible for the consultancy services of KEMA regarding specification, implementation and testing of SCADA systems and data communication interfaces. Last years my focus was on the introduction of Smart Meters and Smart Grids in Europe. In January 2018 I started my own company Smart Energy Consulting (www.se-c.eu). After being Managing Director at ESMIG, the association of smart energy solution providers, for 10 years, my current role there is Technical Director. Specialities: Consultancy, Association Support and Lobbying in the energy sector with focus on digitalisation.
