Hi! I'm Yasyf. I'm obsessed with fixing broken systems that people have normalized. At Sym, we're working to eliminate the security-velocity tradeoff by building a security workflow platform for engineers, by engineers. My last adventure was a healthcare startup: Karuna. Karuna builds software that automates common care management tasks so that care management teams can get back to doing what they do best: fundamentally changing the patient experience. Before that, I was working on my Master's at MIT, exploring the intersection of Venture and CS while working in tandem with First Round to build the one-stop shop for first time founders raising seed rounds. I also supported student founders around MIT and Boston through my work with Dorm Room Fund. In my spare time, I've worked on cool projects like Hi From The Other Side, where we helped connect people from across the political spectrum. In the past, I've spent time as the Chief Software Architect at Foxtrot (“a 21st century approach to last mile logistics”), and as an engineer at Facebook and Square.
