I am the Head, R&D Data and Computational Science at Sanofi and the FORE Systems Professor of Computational Biology and Machine Learning at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Working within the Digital organization at Sanofi I lead as team that is focused on how to use data to further drive R&D across our vaccines and pharma units. Prior to joining Sanofi I led large national and international efforts focused on the analysis, modeling and integration of big data in systems biology and medicine including large computational centers for HuBMAP and Sennet. . Between 2017-2022 I served as the co-director of the joint CMU-Pitt PhD program in Computational Biology which enrolls close to 70 students across the two universities.
