Zoe Brinsden is a transformational business leader with over 30 years’ experience in banking and finance, private wealth, and superannuation. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and has completed her CPA qualifications and the AICD Foundations of Directorship course. Zoe also has specialist brain-based and business coaching credentials from the Neuroleadership Institute and The International Coaching Institute. Zoe has served on banking, private wealth, and for-purpose Australian boards as Deputy Chair, Non-Executive Director, and Advisory Member, providing senior expertise in strategy and risk, corporate governance, finance, and stakeholder engagement. As Head of Private Wealth (South) at Westpac Group, Zoe transformed underperforming teams through significant change. She implemented vital coaching initiatives and improved development, resulting in a considerable and measurable improvement of business leaders’ performance and their units. As Chief Operating Officer at Retirement Victoria, Zoe reinvigorated the business structure and developed and implemented a strategy to ready the company for sale. She undertook a large remediation project, hired new staff, removed unprofitable clients and shifted the business to a fee-for-service model. As Assistant State Leader at Macquarie Wealth Management, she led the hiring and onboarding of over 20 financial advisers and their support staff. The push for national growth saw her lead a month-long induction program, working one-on-one with colleagues and coaching them to drive their business models. Before this, Zoe held senior leadership positions at Telstra Super Financial Planning, ANZ Private, First Samuel, JPMorgan and NAB.
