Technology leader with demonstrated success in scaling teams and taking new ideas from concept to production. I have been in the technology industry for 20+ years in various roles with increasing leadership responsibilities. During these years, I have had the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions that impact millions of customers; build high-performance teams from the ground up; work with the best technologists, business leaders and research scientists in the industry; mentor and promote people to senior leadership roles; and contribute to executive meetings with the CEO, board members and senior leaders. In my current role at Forward, I am working with a world-class team of engineers, product managers, designers, doctors and business leaders to define the future of healthcare. My role at Opendoor involved the challenge of creating an engineering powerhouse in an industry (real estate) that is not typically known for technical innovation. Opendoor is on a bold mission to empower everyone with the freedom to move by making buying and selling a home seamless, simple and stress-free. During my 12 years at Amazon, I had the privilege of leading two game-changing initiatives from a vision to large scale systems with significant technical, business and customer impact. In the first half of my time at Amazon, I architected and drove worldwide adoption for Amazon's algorithmic pricing engine, a learning system that automated pricing for every item sold by Amazon. In the second half of my time at Amazon, I was responsible for the computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine learning systems that make Amazon Go’s Just Walk Out experience possible. As one of the first members of the Amazon Go team, I spearheaded the technology innovations for the initiative through ideation, prototyping and production phases, leading to the launch of our first store in Dec 2016.
