I am mission driven to ensure high quality identity capabilities are developed that serve people, government, and the economy globally. Currently I am the Executive Director of the OpenID Foundation, a non-profit international standards organization and acting as a Special Advisor to the State of California's Department of Motor Vehicles on Identity Technologies, the department responsible for issuing state driving licenses and IDs. I also volunteer as the founder of the Future Identity Council, a forum to help governments issue digital IDs, and ensure this “public good” reaches its full potential to empower citizens. Previously I worked at Apple for 5 years, leading multiple initiatives including Identity for Apple Wallet, Latin America for Apple Pay, and integrating domestic networks to Apple Pay. Prior to joining Apple, I was HSBC’s Global Head of Digital Payments and Global Head of HSBC’s Premier and Advance Card portfolios. Prior to HSBC, I led American Express’ UK Centurion and Platinum Card businesses. I hold an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a B.A. in Public Policy from Princeton University. I have worked and traveled in over 50 countries across six continents.
