Bio

Homelessness Lead (Bromford Housing), delivering our Homelessness Reduction workplan and leading our Cost of Living project, with previous positions as Head of Locality, Locality Manager, Head of Money Advice, and Specialist Practitioner in Safeguarding. 22 years’ experience of working in Housing, Homelessness, Safeguarding, Domestic Abuse, and Community Investment, for Local Authorities, Housing Associations, support providers, and charities. Privileged to be able to bring together professional and lived experience. I am passionate that everyone should have the opportunity to have a safe, affordable place to call home by harnessing the effective delivery of services through strategic and operational alignment. I take an active lead in equality, diversity and inclusion to deliberately cultivate a culture where we break down stigma and bias so everyone is appreciated for being an individual and can thrive. Being a tenacious problem solver and influential decision maker, I develop and deliver innovative ideas and projects, work in partnership with others to invest in and meet the needs of our communities. I promote a coaching culture to motivate and inspire to deliver fantastic outcomes for both the business and our customers, as well as build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners. Honoured to be a Conference speaker at Housing 22, Homes for Cathy conference, Digital Homelessness conference. Member of the National Homelessness Group and National Homelessness Research Network. Experienced Company Director for a homeless charity, where I played a significant part in overseeing the strategic operations and supported the continuous development of the charity, providing me with a wide range of transferable skills. As a mentor for the Housing Diversity Network I support and guide mentees on their journey to unlock potential and inspiring confidence, providing opportunities to develop both professionally and personally - which is hugely rewarding. My wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise in homelessness, housing services and safeguarding, provides me with opportunities to affirm core and social purpose, identify gaps in provision, improve services, implement positive change, and write effective policies and procedures. I pride myself on having oversight of operational detail as well as strategic vision for the future so that the work I do really makes a difference to others. Passionate about raising awareness of homelessness, safeguarding and domestic abuse in all I do.
