I aim to make AI and innovation accessible and drive the next generation of intelligent platforms and solutions so that every person on the planet can achieve more. I’m at my best in front of a blank canvas, crafting ambitious goals, and working every day to help others thrive, perform, and do good in the world. With more than 29 years at Microsoft, I’ve spent my career driving change. I solve complex issues, working to define and accelerate Microsoft’s portfolio of AI innovation, going deep with Microsoft Research, while championing our efforts for social impact through AI for Good. Discovering how technology opens doors for people and organizations is a personal mission for me. This type of access ultimately meshes the best of innovation and the best of humanity. While at Microsoft, I’ve been honored to serve as our first female CTO, Steve Ballmer’s Chief of Staff, first Worldwide Business and Marketing Leader and numerous other advance-line roles. I am currently an executive sponsor of Thought Leadership for the Marketing Group at Microsoft. Early years at the World Bank and, now, as a Board Member at Susan G Komen, have helped shape my world view – and I’m deeply committed to shaping a vibrant, healthy society that is enhanced by all the best technology can offer. What fuels and feeds me: enjoying (and in the past performing) improv and stand-up, drawing, writing, design of every form, an intense appetite for reading, forming teams of amazing people hungry to trailblaze and create what’s next.
